Fort Kochi

A very short and quick visit to Fort Kochi and Mattancherry. Its a very historic place and famous for Jew streets, churches, old style homes & buildings, beeches etc. Best place for street photographers. 

Its less than an hour drive from the city and a good place to hang out. You can see many foreigners there from all over the world, some of them are permeant resident there. Fort Kochi is also a common shooting location for many Malayalam films.

Vypin Island

A quick evening ride to Vypin island in Cochin after my cousin's marriage. Cochin is always one my favourite place as I have spent most of my school vacations here with my cousins.

I was not carrying my camera and took these pictures with iPhone. 

 

Madiwala Market

The famous Madiwala Market for fresh fruits and vegetables. We don't go here often, but just stopped by once to check out the market. The vegetables were fresh and cheap too compared to other retail shops and super markets.

Benz

A stylish Mercedes Benz parked near our office. This place is known as Dollars Scheme Layout in BTM and rich people are staying here. In Bangalore any street with the name "Dollars" indicates they are rich :)

Audis and BMWs were looking better for last couple of years but now its Merc back again with their stunning looks.

Office Terrace

Took this photos from our office terrace.

The continuous white light and scattered read light shows free way on one side and heavy traffic in other direction. Interesting thing is that its the same always, be it morning or evening.

Tavarekere

Tavarekere is very dense area in Bangalore city where I used to live when I was a bachelor. Visited my friends there last weekend and got this beautiful view from their balcony.

I took this photo in my mobile, it would have been more colourful if there was some light on the coconut tree as well (instead of the shadows).

Neighbors

These are our neighbors in Electronics City, one of the largest tech-parks in India. While Bangalore is the Silicon Valley of India, EC is the Silicon Valley of Bangalore. Divided into three phases, EC hosts so many IT, electronics & electrical companies in and around its area. While India's largest IT companies like Infosys, Wipro (our neighour & my previous company too) & HCL has their offices in Phase I, the Ranked one TCS is located in Phase II. Other MNCs like Bosch, Siemens, HP, Audi, Cisco etc are also present in EC.

Not so crowded place, EC is slowly becoming a residential area too, as people started preferring staying near their office and avoid Bangalore city traffic. The 10km long Elevated Tollway(BETL) made the travelling time to Bangalore city from EC just under 10 mins (see my post). And the best road in Bangalore, the NICE road is also less than a km away from EC. With the next phase of Bangalore metro is reaching EC, it will become one of the nice place to live & work in Bangalore.

Paddy's Day

Again this year for St.Patrick's day we travelled 120km to Dublin to see the parade. This time the parade was short compare to last year's. It started around 12.45 and lasts for about an hour. Almost a million people is said to be visiting Dublin city to see the parade.
