Hogenakkal waterfalls

A famous waterfall in south India, 170Km away from Bangalore. Main attraction at Hogenakkal is the ride on the coracles, round small boats, over Kaveri river. They charge about 150Rs per person and they will take you everywhere near the waterfalls.

Goa

A two days trip to Goa with two close friends. It is one of the main tourist place in India where the main attractions are beaches & water sports. We went by train from Bangalore, its an overnight journey. The accommodation was superb at Taj Holiday Village. There are cars and bikes easily available for rent in Goa so if you have a driving license roaming around Goa is easy. The beaches are full of tourists from all over India and across the globe. However we found the weather too hot.

Jolarpet, Tamil Nadu

Jolarpettai junction is a famous railway station in south india because the trains to north india, Bangalore, Chennai etc. are deviating from here. I have my Mother's uncle there who is priest and retired Principal of a college there. Me and my cousin with another uncle started from Bangalore to visit him. Its only a 3Hrs journey by train.

Now coming to the photography side of this trip, there is something special. I just bought a telephoto (more zoom) lens on the day before the trip. I had a very good experience with my 18-55 (standard zoom) and found myself require an upgrade to try another level of photography. It doesn't mean I am going stop using my old lens, I will have both.

Another Vagamon trip

This is the place I have made my most number of trips with friends, Vagamon. The reason is simple: its just 30Km away from my home and a nice hilly area for cool weather & nice drive.

But this trip is different because the first time I am capturing Vagamon beauty in my camera. There are even more & better sights in vagamon, will get them in another trip.

Alleppey Boat Race

This is something which I wanted to see from a long time ago. I have some of my close friends in Alleppey but couldn't make it till now for the boat race because of one or the other reason.

The boat race (Vallam Kali) happens once in a year and its a big event there. Its about 600km from Bangalore which means around 14Hrs journey in bus. Started on friday night and reached there on Saturday morning. Had a good time with my friends watching the boat race. Sunday morning I went to my home town Pala which is about 70Km from there, via Kumarakam. Monday evening back to Bangalore. Here are the photos...

Mekadatu & Sangam, near Bangalore

Its around 100km away from Bangalore. Though its a remote area we saw many tourists once we reached there. A kind of forest with a river flowing in between. We crossed the river on foot and then walked about 3km to reach the waterfall. There is also a shuttle bus which will be very crowded.

Munnar Trip with friends

Had a blast with some of my close friends, visited Munnar. Its a hill station in central Kerala, India. A must visit in Kerala. Tags: Cool weather, tea estates, water dam, water fall, hill resorts.

Its very difficult to get some nice clicks when I am in such a trip with friends, but anyway here are some photos...
