This is something which I wanted to see from a long time ago. I have some of my close friends in Alleppey but couldn't make it till now for the boat race because of one or the other reason.
The boat race (Vallam Kali) happens once in a year and its a big event there. Its about 600km from Bangalore which means around 14Hrs journey in bus. Started on friday night and reached there on Saturday morning. Had a good time with my friends watching the boat race. Sunday morning I went to my home town Pala which is about 70Km from there, via Kumarakam. Monday evening back to Bangalore. Here are the photos...
